Members of STAR had the pleasure of working with PPF-PA during their People's Clinic, September 13th, at Family First Health Center located in Hanover, PA. Members from both groups occupied a tent outside of the practice offering services including:
state benefit sign-ups, renewals, and appeals,
support in navigating hospital bills and medical debt
medicaid cut-offs organizing drive
#MedicaidMondays story share opportunities
Discussions were had with patients concerning the pending medicaid cutoffs, who will be and has been impacted, and what we can do to organize and fight back. Stories were heard and relationships were formed.
PPF-PA conducts People's Clinics in two Family First Health locations in the South Central region, currently:
Hanover Center 1230 High Street, Hanover, PA - 2nd Wednesday of every month 9-11 am
George Street Center 116 South George Street, York, PA - 1st and 3rd Monday of every month 1-4 pm
